Project Reveal: Misty Dr. Primary Bathroom

Today we are so excited to be sharing a project we completed this past December! We've been so busy with our current projects that it has taken a minute to give the proper attention due to this beautiful bathroom. What started off as brown everywhere, quite literally turned into a light and bright, timeless oasis for our clients to enjoy every day. Scroll through to see the photo tour of this completed project.

The overall theme for this bathroom was traditional and timeless. I wanted it to feel fresh, but have a more traditional aesthetic with vintage touches here and there. Three things that will never go out of style: marble, herringbone, and brass. They can be seen all throughout this beautiful bathroom.

One of the very first decisions I made for this design was marble, herringbone tiles for the shower walls and floors. We were expanding the shower size and knew we wanted the shower to be a complete show-stopper, so we used 2x8 tiles on the walls and a smaller herringbone mosaic on the floors. With all the white and gray going on, I wanted to add some warmth throughout, so we included brass plumbing fixtures and wood accents. The shower bench is constructed out of the same slab we used for the vanity to tie the shower and vanity together. We used the same slab to line the shower niche, and it just happens to be one of my favorite components of the design.

When it comes to accessories, we are particular about choosing items that complete the design. Here is one of our favorite hand soaps that not only looks beautiful, but smells fantastic: White tea soap

We also love using baskets for towel storage. Here is a similar option: Basket set

I always recommend going with a stand-alone bathtub to create a spa-like vibe. This specific tub has a more traditional-shaped pedestal, which couldn't go along any better with the theme of the room. We incorporated this lovely brass chandelier to take the tub area to the next level. Simply add a stool, light a candle, and that relaxing/calming vibe is on!

The olive tree is faux! Our first choice is always live over faux plants, but we understand the maintenance involved with live plants. Here is a great faux olive tree that does not require any maintenance. The planter is made out of terra-cotta and adds in just the right amount of texture.

Now for the vanity area... the vanity is custom. I love mixing cabinet door styles to shake things up a bit, so that's exactly what we did! I also knew I wanted the vanity painted a greige color (to once again add in some warmth,) so we went with Balboa Mist by Benjamin Moore. Never be afraid to mix metals in a space, especially these traditional polished nickel and brass finishes.
